... אבי השושלת האמשינובית היה האדמו״ר הזקן רבי יצחק
קליש מוודקה, שהיה מפורסם בצדיקותו ובהצטיינותו במידת
הרחמים, ומשום כך הוכתר בתואר "בעל רחמנות", מתלמידי החוזה
מלובלין, רבי דוד מלילוב ורבי שמחה־בונם מפשיסחה. התחיל
לנהל עדה בעיירה ז׳וריק, ולבסוף עבר לעיר וורקה הסמוכה
לוארשה. רבבות הסתופפו בצד קדשו, ובהם רבים מצדיקי הדור.
הרבי מוודקה הצטיין במידת אהבת ישראל, שהגיעה אצלו עד כדי
מסירת נפש, וכל ימי חייו היו שלשלת ארוכה של אהבת ישראל
ומסירת נפש לעמו. נפטר ביום אחרון של פסח תר״ח בעיר וודקה,
והניח אחריו שני בנים צדיקים מפורסמים: הבכור ר׳ יעקב דוד
