... ב־1944 נבחר ועד חדש: מרדכי טננבוים ז״ל, אשר פישל, שרגא רוזנבלום, דוד ליוד, אלטר ברוקנר, שלמה בו־לימובסקי, מנחם גלבגד, חנוך מלאך, י. צ. דיים, שעשה פעולה ראויה לציון, למען סידור עולים חדשים בעבודה ובשיכון. נשכרו לשם כך צריף ברחוב דיזנגוף, בן שלושה חדרים, בהם שוכנו שלוש משפחות, וצריף ברחוב לוינסקי, בו שוכנו אחד עשר רווקים.
