Renewed violence in Palestine
In 1936, violence broke out in Palestine and continued for three consecutive years. In Bendin, residents protested British policies; some demonstrators later caused damage at the British consulate in Katowice before police dispersed them.

גם בשנת 1936, בפרוץ שוב מאורעות דמים בארץ, שנמשכו
הפעם שלוש שנים רצופות, קמה סערה גדולה בקרב יהודי פולין.
בחוצות בנדין נראו שוב בני עירנו מפגינים, בדרשם את הרחקת
האנגלים מארץ ישראל המופקרת על־ידי מעשיהם העוינים, כגון
צמצום העליה, גירוש עולים, דיכוי ה״הגנה" וכדומה. במגרש
הספורט של "הכוח" נכנסו המוני־העם והעלו עצומותיהם. עם
גמר האספה נסעו מאות מפגינים לקטוביץ, וליד בית הצירות
הבריטית השמיע הקהל הרב קריאות־בוז, המטירו אבנים בחלונות
הבית ואף חדרו לתוכו, וגרמו בו נזקים. המשטרה החזירה את הסדר
על כנו ופיזרה את ההפגנה בכוח. אחדים מאנשינו נאסרו, אולם
שוחררו בהתערבות מוסדותינו . ...
