לד שלמה הצדיק היה משמש בקודש בשם טוביה שתפקידו
היה גם לעבור לפני התיבה, כי היה מנגן גדול וחובב נערץ של
ניגונים יפים. אחרי שטוביה שמע את הנער יחזקאל בשירו ובזמרו
מצא חן בעיניו, ואמר לו: שמע נא! אני אתפלל לפני העמוד
ואתה תעזור לי בזמרתך למען אצליח. וטוביה הכניס את הנער
יחזקאל למקהלת הצדיק מרדומסק. ומאז יצאו לנער מוניטין, וזכה
לתהלה מופלגת בפי כל בכוח נגוניו וקולו האדיר. מאז הוא שם
