... הסוהר הוציאנו פעמיים ביום — פעם לבית השימוש ופעם לשם מנת האוכל. לראשונה יצא האסיר הבלתי־מוכר לי, ואחריו אני. אף פעם לא נפגשנו. חכיתי לחקירה מתוך דאגה וחרדה. שנתי נדדה ממני לא רק מפאת מתיחות נפשית, אלא בעיקר בשל הכפור האיום. היה זה בימי חודש ינואר, 1942, חורף קר וסוער גם לאלה החיים מחוץ לסורגי בית־הסוהר. ישנתי על הרצפה בבגדים, ללא שמיכה, מקופל בתוכי, ראשי נשען בזרועותי. ...Connected nodes
