חתנו הצעיר של ה״שפת אמת״ מגור. נולד בכ״ז כסלו תרל״א במשפחה חסידית ועשירה, לר׳ פנחם־יעקב ממלניץ, בן ר׳ יחיאל־פישל בן רבי חנוך־חניך הכהן לוין האדמו״ר הנודע מאלכסנדר, תלמידם של האדמו״רים רבי שמחה בונים מפשיסחה ורבי מנדלי מקוצק. אביו שכר בשבילו את המלמדים הטובים ביותר והוא הלך וגדל בתורה ובחכמה. אחד ממוריו היה החכם והחסיד ר׳ צבי־דוב ברוינשפיגל, שהיה גם מורו של האדמו״ר ר׳ אברהם־מרדכי מגור בילדותו. את מדותיו הטובות ירש ר׳ צבי־חנוך מאביו שהיו מעין מורשת במשפחה, מדור לדור.Connected nodes
