אנו הושפענו וחלמנו על עולם אחר בו יהיו חיים של אמת ויושר. היו שהמתינו למשיח

מפלגות, מוסדות תרבות, תנועות נוער, בתי מדרש ושטיבלעך של חסידים היו פזורים
בעיירה. הספריה והאגודים המקצועיים פרחו. הכל לבלב עד לזעם החורבן. הסערה באה
מלאת דם ואש והביאה בכנפיה חורבן טרגי על עמנו. חיות היטלר רצחו, שרפו וטמעו
כל חלקה טובה בנו. אולם החורבן החל לתת ניצניו למעשה כבר בשנים 1939—1933,
