על פי רוב פלעג איך שנעל אדורכלויפן די געגנט, װײל די פוילישע גימנאזיע־
שילער זענען אפט באפאלן ײדישע ײנגלעך און זיי געשלאגן. בײם אדורכגײן די גימנאזיע
האב איך מיט קנאה אריבערגעקוקט דעם שטײנערנעם פארקאן. דארט אינעװײניק איז
אויך געװען א פרוכט־גארטן, װעגן װעלכן מ׳האט דערצײלט נסים. מען האט געזאגט,
אז דארט װאקםן אפילו ״פאמעדארן״ — א לעגענדארע פרי אין יענע צײטן. די
ײדישע ײנגלעך האבן געהאט גרויס חשק ארײנצוכאפן זיך א מאל ארײן, אבער דער
פחד איז געװען גרויס. מען האט דערצײלט, אז דארט זענען פאראן גרויסע הינט, און
חוץ דעם גײען דארט ארום װעכטער מיט ביקס און זיי שיסן מיט אזא מין שרויט,
