... בלוקוב היה בית כנסת גד־ול, שהכיל מספר מאות מתפללים. בית הכנסו: היה פאר העיר. הוא נצבע ע״י הצבעים הטובים בעיר, הרש ליבר וחײם מטס מנדלבוים. ליד בית הכנסת היה גם בית מדרש קטן׳ שבו התפללו יהודים פשוטים כמו בעלי עגלד״/ קצבים ובעלי מלאכה. הם גם נקראו //חברה מקרא״. בכל ערב בין מנחה למעריב ובשבת אחרי הצהרים הם למדו חומש עם ר׳ אהרן מקרא־רבי. גם בבית הכנסת הגדול ישבו בכל ערב קבוצת יהודים מסביב לשולחן ארוך ועמם למד ר׳ אפרים ליכטנברג. בתלמוד התורה למדו מספר מאות ילדים ענײם. התלמוד תורה קוײם ע״י הקהילה. ...Connected nodes
