... המחנה היאנובי נועד למטרות שונות: בעיקרו
היה מחנה לעבודת־כפייה ליהודים, וגם לפושעים
לא־יהודים. שנית — מחנה־השמדה של יהודי לבוב
וגליציה המזרחית. מטרתו השלישית — היתה להיות
מחנה־מעבר: עשרות אלפי יהודים עברו דרכו. בו
היתה תחנת המבחן והסלקציה — מי למוות ומי
לעבודה, מי להרוג במחנה ומי ל״טרנספורט" אל
מחנה־המוות בבלזץ. הטרנספורטים הראשונים מערי־
השדה החלו מגיעים אל המחנה היאנובי באביב 1942.
בראשית אפריל 1942 הגיע טרנספורט גדול מגרודק־
יאגיעלונסקי הסמוכה ללבוב. במאי ויוני 1942 —
מפשמישל, ביולי 1942 — מדרוהוביץ וכר. באותו
זמן התחילו באים גם טרנספורטים מן החלק הדרום־
מזרחי של גליציה: קולומיאה, קוטוב, סטניסלאבוב,
דולינה, דעלטין וכר. ...Connected nodes
