... עם זאת היסס למלא את דרישת נציגי האוכלוסיה
להקים "גברדיה לאומית" ולהמציא לה נשק. על
עמדתו זו השפיע מנהל־המשטרה ליאופולד סאחר־
מאסוך, ששנא את הפולנים והיה מעונין בהתפרצויות
מצדם.
ב־20 במרס 1848 (כ״א אדר שני) פורסם בלבוב
קונטרס קטן "קול קורא דבר בעתו" אל התושבים
היהודים בגליציה*) , ע״י יצחק יהודא בן אברהם,
שהעריך את עצמו כאוהב־ישראל וחובב־עמים. מטרת
הקונטרס שהודפס גם בפולנית, גרמנית ואידיש
היתד, להסביר את המאורעות בוינה. בפשטות
נמסר על המתרחש, שיועצי הקיסר "טובי־הלב" לא
רצו להגיש לו את בקשות עמו, בכוונה להעלים ממנו
את מצב האוכלוסיה. אולם בהשפעת הסטודנטים
נכתב תזכיר שהוגש ל״לאנדטאג" וטרם שהספיקConnected nodes
