שונה, בשנת 1917, בא ללבוב כפליט־מלחמה האדמו״ר
ר׳ אברהם יעקב ב״ר יצחק מבאיאן, והתישב ברחוב
לגיונו 29. חסידי באיאן, ובראשם שלום וואלאך,
איטשי־מאיר, אברהם־יוסף מינצר — יסדו "קלויז של
חסידי באיאך ע״י דירתו של הרבי, שריכז בין
מתפלליו ומבקריו חסידים לבית רוז׳ין, טשורטקוב,
הוסיאטין, סדיגורא, ויזניץ, קוסוב וכו׳. בין ראשי
הקלויז היה מאיר גרשאן, אחד הסוחרים הגדולים
בעיר, נדבן, שביתו היה פתוח לרווחה. על־יד שולחנו
ישבו תמיד כעשרים איש, כ״אורחים". בביתו היה
מנין קבוע של יהודים שהתפללו אתו עד שעה מאוחרת
