שע״ו (1616), ר׳ מאיר ב״ר גדליה מלובלין, נולד שי״ח (1558), בן כ״ד נתמנה לראש ישיבה בעיר מולדתו בלובלין, בן כ״ט נתקבל לראש ישיבת קרקא במקום חותנו הר׳ יצחק שפירא, בהיותו בן ל״ז נתמנה לראש־הישיבה בלבוב ולאב בית־דין בגלילות לבוב, במשרה זו כיהן שמונה־עשרה שנה,
בשנת שע״ג חזר לעיר מולדתו לובלין בתור רב אב־
בית־דין וריש־מתיבתא, באחת מתשובותיו (סי׳ פ״ח)
