... מבחינה כלכלית נפגעו תושבי־לבוב והיהודים
בכלל ע״י תקנות הממשלה, שקבעה דוקא בשנת 1830
מס מיוחד על יבוא־מזונות, הטלת המם גרמה להפגנות
אוכלוסין, בהן השתתפו גם היהודים, והדבר הגיע גם
להתנגשויות והתנפלויות על פקידי ושוטרי־המכס בקצו
העיר ונגד מנהל המם פראנץ הלם. בתוצאות ההפגנות
הצליחו תושבי־לבוב להשיג שחרור והקלות במס
המזונות, לפי סוגים.
ב~4 בספטמבר 1838 פרצה דליקה גדולה ברובע
היהודים. ברחוב באימוב, בה נשרפו 11 בתים ואף נספו
בה 11 יהודים. בין המצילים הצטיין הירש טייטלס. ...Connected nodes
