בימי ו הורע המצב הכלכלי בקהלת לבוב,
שנאלצה להפחית את המשכורות של "כלי הקודש".
בגלל זה התפטר, עבר לבודפסט ונתקבל כחזן בבית־
הכנסת רומבך, שם עמד בכבוד גדול עד 1937, כשקבל
פקודת־גירוש מטעם הרשות עבר לליברפול, אנגליה.
