באוגוסט 1772 דרש יוסף 11 לנשל את היהודים מן
החכירות, משרפות־יי״ש, מסים ובתי־מרזח. בדצמבר
1772 נערך ע״י הצבא מפקד האוכלוסין היהודים
ולפיו היו בתחום הכנסיה הקתולית של לבוב 6339
נפש יהודים. לפי הודעת פרנסי הקהילה משנת 1774
היו בלבוב 6664 נפש 2). בשנת 1773 הוטל עליהם
איסור לערוך טקס נישואים אלא ברשיון הגוברנטור,
ובתשלום של 20 דוקטים. ההגבלות פגעו ביהודים
