צבי לרב ואב״ד בהמבורג וונזבק, ואך באלטונא
נתחלקה המשרה בינו לבין הר׳ משה זיסקינד רוטנברג
שכל אחד מהם הנהיג הנשיאות חצי־שנה, בשנת תנ״ב
הוציא ר׳ צבי לאור מכתב יד את ה״טורי זהב" לש״ע
חושן המשפט, והוסיף עליו חדושים והגהות, הכניס
כל הערה במקומה ברשמי "אמר המגיה" בהם בא
לפעמים כמעיר ומוסיף ולפעמים כחולק ומשיב, בשער
הספר ובההקדמה לא הוזכר שמו, אך בסוף הספר
הסכים להפצרת תלמידיו להודיע שמו בחתמו:
העומד על משמרת בית־המדרש הגדול הקלויז אשר
