גם בעירית לבוב, שעוד לפני שנה דחתה הצעה
להעניק ליהודים את זכות האזרחות העירונית, נבחרו
8 יהודים בין 40 חברי העיריה, והם: ד״ר בלומנפלד,
מרדכי דובם, מאיר מיזם, ד״ר ברח־רפפורט, יהושע
מאיר גולדבאוס, ד״ר קולישר, מאיר מינץ, אלישע
מנדרוחוביץ. הם השתתפו בפעילות בעבודות הועדות;
ד״ר בלומנפלד, מ. דובס ומאיר מיזם בועדת הכספים,
ד״ר ברח־רפפורט בועדת הבריאות, י. מ. גולדבאום,
ד״ר קולישר, מאיר מינץ וא. מנדרוחוביץ בועדה
לעניני־המשטרה. בעיריה דנו על תקנון בחירות חדש.
מטעם היהודים השתתפו בועדת התקנון הירץ ברנשטין,
ד״ר עמנואל בלומנפלד וירחמיאל מיזם והיו מוכרחים
להסכים למספר 15 יהודים מבין 100 חברי־העיריה וכן
ל־5 יהודים מבין 30 הסגנים. אחרי אישור התקנון ביולי
1848 התקיימו הבחירות באוקטובר 1848 ומטעם
היהודים נבחרו רק המועמדים המתקדמים. מועמדי
