העולם הראשונה בשנת 1914 ברחו המוני פליטים
מעיירות גליציה אל הערים, ואלו שלא הספיקו לברוח
לוינה, לפראג או להונגריה, באו ללבוב. בין הפליטים
שבאו ללבוב היה גם האדמו״ר ר׳ שלמה מסאסוב עם
משפחה גדולה: בנים ובנות, חתנים, נכדים ונינים.
הוא התגורר ברחוב קוטלארסקא, בבית אחד מחסידיו,
