הזוועה זעזע את יהודי לבוב במיוחד : בבית־הספר
ע״ש אנה־הקדושה (ברחוב שוו . אננה ) נמצא אז בית ־
חולים גרמני צבאי , ואירע כי החיילים הגרמניים
התאוננו על יריה שנורתה למרפאה מאחד הבתים , ממול
בית־החולים . וללא כל חקירה ובדיקה , ללא דרישה
אחר האשם — התנפלו עם שחר הקלגסים הגרמנים
על בתי היהודים ברחוב אינה־הקדושה (הבתים מס . 1 ,
3 , 5 , 7 ) וברחוב יאכוביץ (מספרים 11 ו־ 18 ) . הוציאו
מהם את כל הגברים היהודים , בלא לנגוע בדיירים
