מקום תפלה לכל הסביבה. ביהכ״נ נבנה בשנת 1905
ע״י התעשין ובעל־האחוזות גאל מטרנופול, שהיה
ציר בפרלמנט האוסטרי בשנים 1907 — 1918 — כקנינו
הפרטי. גאל התנצ ר לאחר זמן, ועמד למכור את
ביהכ״נ לנוצרים לצורך בית־חרושת. מתפללי ביהכ״נ,
ובראשם ויטלין, מארק פייערשטיין, קוולר, נתן וויינרב
— שהיה נשיא ביהכ״נ (כיום בת״א), קנו את ביהכ״נ
בכסף מלא בשנת 1919 מידי גאל המשומד והם שדשו
בהנהלת ביהכ״נ עד הסוף. רב־השכינה, הדיין ר׳ משה
אהרנפרייז, היה גם רב ביהכ״ג ומראשי המתפללים בו,
כ־300 יהודים התפללו שם, ובין הגבאים היו אברהם
הירשפלד, חיים לוקר. כחזנים כהנו משה פאטרונטאש,
ליביש שור, קרושבסקי, ריכטר, יעקב קוסוביצקי,
אידלזון. מנצח־המקהל ה — יצחק הילמן. המטיף —
