... במשך כל חודש יולי 1941 נמשכה ה״פעולה" של
חיפושים ומאסרי עסקנים יהודיים מאנשי־השמאל,
וביחוד צעירים יהודים שהיו או שמסרו עליהם כי היו
חבר־ה״קומסומול". כל החשודים שנתפסו היצאו
להורג ביער של לסניץ׳ שבקרבת לבוב׳ ללא חקירה
ודרישה יתירה. באופן מקביל התפתחה "פעולה" שניה
— חטיפה ל״עבידה". פעולה זו התנהלה במשנה־עז
בימים 25, 26 ו־27 ליולי. מאות ואלפי אנשים ונשים
