מאות וזמן נותקו כל הקשרים בין הפועלים
היהודים לעולם החיצוני. המחנה חולק לשנים: בשטח ו
העיקרי היו צריפי־המגורים של הפועלים, המשרדים,
דירות הס.ס. וגם מחנה המעבר (דורכגאנגסלאגער ׳
"דו־לאג") המיועד לנשלחים אל מחנה־המות בעלזעץ.
על חלק זה של המחנה מונה מנהל חדש, גוסטב
וילהוז, קצין הס.ס.׳ אדם צעיר, מדפיס לפי מקצועו,
יליד סאארבריקן. לפי גביות־העדות נכנס וילהויז
לתפקידו ב־2 במרץ 1942. לאחר זמן קצר, כנראה —
ב־1 לאפריל 1942, סופח אליו כסגנו, קצין הס.©
ריכרד רוקיטא, כבן 40, שהיה כנר לפני המלחמה,
מנהל תזמורת־ג׳אז באחת מערי פולין המערבית
