פנחס אליהו הורוביץ (מכונה אוטור). נולד
ב׳ אייר תקכ״ה בלבוב. נדד הרבה בפולין
וגרמניה והשתקע בלבוב ואחר־כך בבוצאץ. כאן
התחיל בספרו "ספר הברית" בגלל מחלתו עבר
ללבוב והתגורר בבית מעריצו ותומכו העשיר נחמן
ריים. יצא לפרשבורג, שם גמר את ספרו בבית ידידו
