העיר לבוב מידי כובשיה הגרמנים. מיד לשחרור בוצר
באופן ספונטאני ועד יהודי, שהשתכן באולם קטן
ברחוב יבלונובסקי והחל ברישום היהודים ששרדו.
לא כל היהודים הרהיבו עוז בנפשם להודות ביהדותם
בגלוי. חלק מתושבי העיר הנוצרים לא התייחס
באדיבות ליהודים הניצולים. היו גם מקרים, שיהודים
נרצחו בידי המחתרת הפולנית או האוקראינית הלאו-
מנית. כזה היה גורלו של ד״ר בארטפלד. מורה־דת,
