אגודת "מכבי אש" בעירנו היתה משותפת לכל בני העיר
יהודים ונוצרים כאחת. בין מייסדיה זכורים לי: אלתר
אפשטיין (אלתר פריידעלס), חיים הערשקע פעקאר,
לייבענגרוב. מפעם לפעם היו עורכים אימונים וגרמו
בכך חוויה מיוחדת לילדי העיר, שהיו מלווים אותם,
רצים לפני התזמורת ונהנים מהתלבושות הנאות של
