... בימים הראשונים לבואה לארץ עבדה בקבוצת באר־
טוביה. הדבר היה בשנת תרפ״א/פ. קבוצתנו בקשה את
חנה מייזל לשלוח אלינו כמה חלוצות מן הטובוו ז שבתל־
מידות חוות־הלימוד בתל־אביב. בזמן קצר נשלחו אלינו
ארבע חברות וחיה ז״ל ביניהן. במהרה נתקבלו כחברות
קבועות והן צעדו בשביל הקבוצתי וסללו יחד עם חברותיהן
את הדרך לתנועה השיתופית בארץ.
חיה עלתה לארץ מעיר מולדתה סוקולקה שבפולניה,
בעיצומם של ימי העליה השלישית, עת טובי בני הנוער
היהודי מרוסיה ומפולניה חתּרו אל חופי ארצנו בכל
