קן" ■ המורה היה קונשט) — ביזמת קבוצת ציונים:
ר׳ משה ולוול שטיין, שמריהו ליכטנשטיין, צבי יודבסקי,
מילי גפנר, יהודה ויגודסקי ועוד. גם בית־הספר לעברית
היה דבר חדש בעירנו. אבל חוג מצומצם של הורים
שלחו אליו את ילדיהם. זה היה הגרעין שהתפתח והיה
לבית ספר עברי גדול. המורה קונשט, היה מסור לתלמי -
דים וידע איך לחבבם. הוא הנהיג משמעת (דברים שלא
היו רגילים בו) תוכנית הלימודים היה: מקרא, היסטוריה
עברית, דקדוק, חשבון, חיבורים בעברית. כל הלימודים
היו "עברית בעברית". ושפה אחרת לא דברו. היו גם
הצגות בבית־הספר (בפורים ובחנוכה) וביום שישי היה
