מקום־רבנותו של אביו. הוא היה שד״ר של ישיבות
ליטא והצטיין בשליחותו הרבה, בהיותו ידוע כבעל דרשן
גדול "פה מפיק מרגליות" ושליט בספרות האגדה
המדרשית ואף בספרי מחקר, בסוף ימיו מילא תפקיד של
"מגיד דמתא בסלונים". בהסכמתו של הרב הצדיק ר׳
מרדכלי אב״ד דמתא ונשא מדברותיו ברוח האורטודוק ־
