אמנם, נמצאו יהודים שהשלטון הקומוניסטי לא היה
לפי טעמם, ובעיקר בעלי בתי־החרושת של העורות,
החנוונים שחששו למעמדם הכלכלי, וכן הדתיים ששמעו
על מלחמת־הדת ברוסיה, אבל, מאידך היו כולם מרוצים,
שהתפטרו מהצבא הפולני ויהיו מעתה בטוחים בחייהם,
וסכנת המוות לא תרחף עוד עליהם. הקומוניסטים
שנכנסו לעיר נגשו מיד לארגן את המוסדות האזרחיים,
את אגוד־הפועלים, את המשטרה. נתמנה קומיסר יהודי,
שמו היה דישקו. "מנהל הרבקום" (מועצת ההפיכה)
אף הוא היה יהודי; הרש ל פורמן (כעת בקנדה). הנוער
