הרב ר׳ צבי הירש דירקטור נטר בשת תרע״ה
ומנוחתו כבוד בקייב הרחוקה (בדרך נסיעתו לדרוש
ברופאים) בבית העלמין היהודי שברחוב לוקיאנובקי,
שחוסל בידי השלטון הסובייטי־האוקראייני, על יד
קברם של הגאון המלבי״ם ור׳ רפאל נתן נטע ראבינוביץ
בעל ה״דקדוקי אפרים" על הש״ס בבלי. בעתונות
העברית וד,יד,ודי ת הכללית הופיעו אז מאמרי הערכד,
חמים לזכרו של רב מפורסם זה. בעבר הרב ר׳ צבי
הירש דירקטור מסוקולקה לאמציסלאב היד, מועמד
לרבנות סוקולקה חתנו של ר׳ יצחק גולדין, אולם בגלל
התנגדות חסידי קוצק וקארלין ואנשים מן ההמון, סוכלה
מועמדות זו, מפני שהרב ר׳ יצחק גולדין היה צעיר ואף
יותר "מתקדם" בשבילם, וביחוד מהיותו ציוני נאמן.
