This volume commemorates Skalat, in Galicia, now Ukraine. Published in Munich in 1948 by the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the American Zone of Germany, its 200 Yiddish pages represent an early postwar record of the destroyed community.
