This regional volume examines Jewish Bessarabia between the two world wars, 1914–1940, in the territory now largely divided between Moldova and Ukraine. Published in Hebrew in Jerusalem in 1973 by the Zionist Library, its 439 pages suggest a historical study rather than a single-town memorial book.
