This volume surveys the Jews of historic Bessarabia, now chiefly Moldova and partly Ukraine. Published in Hebrew in Jerusalem in 1971 by the Encyclopedia of Diaspora Jewry project, it is a large 530-page reference work with a broad regional scope.
