This large volume concerns Jewish Lithuania, in the historical region of Lithuania and Belarus and chiefly in present-day Lithuania. Published in 1951 by the Cultural Association of Lithuanian Jews, its Yiddish language and early postwar date indicate a broad, extensive historical and memorial compilation.
