כיסו ראשי יהודים חיים, אב ושני בניו (הנגר הרשקוביץ
ובניו) שנרצחו במקום זה, וכובעיהם שרדו כעדים אלמים לאשר
התחולל ליד בית הרום ופרוץ זה: לבנים שנעקרו מתנור, רסוקות
ומנופצות, רצפות פרוצות, קירות הרוסים, הכל הפוך ופרוע. כל
אשר היה בארונות ובמגרות נזרק החוצה: לבנים, סירים, תצלומים,
צלחת, מלח, בגדים, בערימה טרופה אחת. אי אפשר לשהות
