בבחירות לעירית בשנת 1917, שהביאו רוב יהודי מוחלט
בממשל העירוני, הופיע גם "בונד", ונבחר חברו נציגו המנוח
פסחזון, שלזכותו יש לזקוף הישגים רבים למען בנדין היהודית.
על כך קוראים אנו ב״לעבענס־פראך (מספר £ פברואר 1917):
"בונד" בבנדין ניגש למלחמת הבחירות לעיריה, כאשר הגוש
האזרחי והמפלגות הסוציאליסטיות פ. ם. ד. (המפלגה הפולנית
של הסוציאל־דמוקרטים, שבין חבריה היו גם יהודים) ופועלי־ציון
כבר היו פעילים בשדה הבחירות. זו הפעם הראשונה הופיע בא־
כוחנו באסיפות־עם של ם. ם. ד. שנועדו לבוחרים היהודים. שני
נואמים מטעם המארגנים דיברו בעד ונגד הקמת בתי־םפ ר ליהודים ...Connected nodes
