... רבי ישעיה היה חברו ללימוד בישיבה של ה״יהודי הקדוש"
מפשיסחה. תחילה נבחר לרב העיר. אחרי פטירת ה״חוזה" מלובלין
בשנת תקע״ה הוכתר לרבי מפשדבורש, והמשיך בשיטת החסידות
כפי שקיבל מפי רבו החוזה. רבי מאיר למאפטא היה קורא לו
"ישעיה הנביא". הצטיין בעניוות ובריחה מן הפרסום. נפטר ד׳
אלול תקצ״א בפשדבורש, ועל קברו אוהל שמשוך אליו המוני
