מסוחטשוב) מוישגרוד שנתמך ע״י חסידי סוחטשוב. ג. נבחר ברוב
של 478 קולות נגד 299. עקב מחאה מצד שכנגד בטענה שהרב
הנבחר גילו פחות מהדרוש לרב, ביטל שר פלך פיוטרקוב את
הבחירות והועיד בחירות החדשות ל־20 ביוני 1914. בבחירות השניות
נצטרף מועמד שלישי, הרב ישעיה אנגלראד המו״ץ במונדזיוב.
חסידי סוחטשוב ניהלו מלחמת תנופה קשה בעד מועמדם גם בעתוני
וארשה הבירה, וסופר אחד בעל־שם שהיה קרוב לבית סוחטשוב, עזר
להם בשורת מאמרים בעתון היומי "דער מאמענט". מאמריו עוררו
את דעת הקהל בכל פולין היהודית, ונדמה היה שהנצחון על צדם.
והנה נתעורר רב ציוני־מזרחי הקרוב לבית רבני גרויבארט, ופירסם
מאמר חריף כתשובה — נגד הסופר הנ״ל ונגד חסידי סוחאטשוב.
המאמר לא נדפס, אבל גרם להפסקת המסע בעתון. בבחירות קיבל
הרב גרויברט הצעיר שוב רוב גדול ואושר מטעם הממשלה כרב
