מטבעו היה ה״שרף״ מלא הומור. לא אהב עצבות ופיזור נפש,
ברביים רבים אחרים בפולין. אצלו היו חוגגים ימי שבת וחג
באכסטזה ושמחה גדולה. בחצרו היו מתאספים מפעם לפעם צדיקי
פולין הגדולים: ר׳ אלעזר מקוזניץ, ר׳ עמנואל מפשדבורש, בעל
ה״תפארת שלמה״ מרדומסק, ר׳ בריש טורנהיים מוולבורש, ר׳ ישראל
יצחק מראדושיץ, ר׳ סיני מראדום ורבים גדולים אחרים, שהיו
ממקורביו ותלמידיו, וביחוד היו מתענגים ומתבשמים מחג הפורים

... מוצאו של ר' יחזקאל פרידמן ממשפחת חסידים, יליד רדומסק.
כינויו בפי מכריו היה: דער בלינדער ר׳ יחזקאל, על שום שהיה
שתום עין אחת. לאוירה החסידית הוסיפה מנעוריו קרבתו לבית
מיסד השושלת הרדומסקאית. בעודו בן תשע, בשנת תרכ״ד, היה
שר במקהל ה החסידית של ה״תפארת שלמה". ולאו כל אדם זכה
לכך לשמש את הצדיק מרדומסק בנגינה. הצדיק הנודע ההוא
נפטר בשנת תרכ״ו, אך רישומו לא פג מזכרו של ר׳ יחזקאל כל
ימי חייו. ואין פלא. ברדומסק ובקלויזים שלה בכל מקום היתד.
