אחרי השחרור עבר לאיטליה, וב־1945 העפיל לארץ־ישראל
באניה "מטרואה". ממחנה עתלית הגיע לכפר־הנוער בן־שמן. רזה
ותשוש היה, ובחדשים מעטים התפתח לעלם בריא וחסון. למד
ועבד במשק, והתמחה ביחוד ברפתנות. הצטרף לגרעין הנוער
העובד שיצא להכשרה מגוייסת לדגניה א׳ (קבוצת "החושלים")
ונשתבח בטיב עבודתו במשק. אך מפאת המצב בארץ נותק מהעבודה
והתמסר להגנה, ומראשית מלחמת־השחרור השתתף בפעולות הפלמ״ח
ובקרבותיו בגליל העליון המזרחי. השתתף בהגנת עיךזיחים וצפת
היהודית. בעמדו על המשמר ליד המחסום לפני החלק הערבי של
העיר, נפצע בבטנו בכדור צלף, ואחרי ששת ימי יסורים בבית־
החולים מת ב־24.3.1948. נקבר בבית הקברות הצבאי בצפת. ...Connected nodes
