לידתו של הצדיק נחשבה מאורע חשוב בבניין היהודית בכלל
ואצל חסידי קוצק הבנדינאים בפרט, שחגגוהו לפי דרכם ברינה
ובצהלה. בספר הנ״ל מסופר, שחסידי קוצק אשר בבנדין, חברי
הרב בעל הברית, שמחו בביתו כל שמונת הימים עד אחר הברית־
מילה כאחד החגים ולא פשטו מעליהם בגדי שבת ויו״ט, והרב
ערך בשבילם סעודה יום יום ושמחו ברננים וזמרה, בריקודים ומחולות
ובהלל ושבח למרום על הטוב ששלח להם ברך הנולד.
סיפר הרב אברהם דוד, שהיה אז אב״ד בבנדין, שעם הבשורה
על הולדת אברהם שמחו כל בני העיר, ומי שלא ראה שמחה גדולה
