נולד בשנת תרל״ט בעיירה פשיטיק, במקום שאביו היה רב
ואדמו״ר. מיד לאחר חתונתו החלו לנהור אליו חסידים רבים,
וביתו היה בית ועד לחכמים ואנשי מעשה. היה ידוע במיוחד
ברוב צדקתו ופרישותו, מסתפק במועט, ודוחה את כל הצעותיהם
של חסידיו שרצו לבנות לו בית פאר ולקיימו ביד רחבה. זהירותו
בקיום המצוות לכל פרטיהן ודקדוקיהן — אין לשער. במיוחד היה
זהיר בהידור המצה שמורה לפסח, ושבועות רבים לפני כן עסק
