מער װי יעדער אײנער איז אײנגעקריצט אין מײן זכרון,
מיין גמרא־תוספות און מפרשים מלמד זקן (אגב׳ איז דער
נאמען זקן ערשט שפעטער אים צוגעגעבן געװארן׳ װען ער
איז זײער ערנסט קראנק געװען׳ אלם סגולה צו אריכות ימים.
זײן פריערדיקן נאמען האבן מיר נישט געװוסט), א ײד א
תלמיד חכם אין בעסערן זין פון װארט. מיט אײגענע כוחות
דערגרײכט א מדרגה איז לומדות׳ לײכט און פרײ זיך באװעגט
אין ים התלמוד. ער האט באמת מקײם געװען דעם והגית
בו יומם ולילה. האט ער נישט געלערנט מיט די תלמידים,
האט ער געלערנט פאר זיך. בײ אים האבן מיר אויך געלערנט
