כעבור מחצית השנה עבר עם חברױ־להכשרה׳ שהױו גרעין
מתישב, למשלט־הראל בכפר הערבי הכבוש בית־ג׳יז, אשר
בפרוזדור ירושלים. ככה עבר לחײ עבודה עצמאײם׳ אך
עובדת הױתו בן ח״י שנה הטילה עלױ צו להצטרף לשורות
צה״ל, אעפ״י שכאיש משק יכול היה להשאר מחוץ לצבא.
משיכתו היתה לחיל־האויר, אך בשל הצורך באנשים בחיל־
