פעמינו ובירכנו רוב ברכות את האכר ומשפחתו. כעבור מחצית השעה הגיעו לקראתנו צללים
וברוסית קראו: ,עמודו, ידים למעלה*! והמטירו עלינו יריות. שלשה מאתנו נפלו חלל. ענינו
באש ושמענו צעקות ואנחות מן העבר השני. בזאת נסתיימה ההתנגשות בחורש. בזחילה על
ארבע חתרנו להגיע ליער הסמוך. בדרך נתקלנו באדם, מכורבל מכאבים שגרמו לו הכדורים שלנו.
הוא היה פצוע בשתי רגליו. הפצוע קילל את האכר קרפ (עמורה הדרך שלנו) על אשר העיר אותם,
את אנשי המשטרה -- בלילה ויחד אתם רדף אחרי הפרטיזנים.
