בתשלומים דו שבועיים או חדשיים. הפונים והנהנים -- מעוטי היכולת, שלא יכלו לקבל אשראי
מן הבנקים. לא היתה זאת ,קופת גמילות חסדים" במובן המקובל אצל היהודים. יסודה היה
ציבורי חברתי, ומקבלי ההלוואות לא ראו בכך פעולת חסד או עשיית צדקה. כספי הקופה באו
לה בעיקר מאת ה,ג'וינט". עם זאת היתה מושתתת על עקרון החברות. גם מקבלי ההלואות נימנו
עם חבריה, ומבחינה חברתית היה בכך משום עזרה הדדית. ההנהלה היתה מאשרת את הבקשות
להלוואות ומקבליהן דייקו בתשלומיהן. הקופה פעלה שנים רבות, עד לכיבוש העיירה וסייעה
לא-מעט למשפחות רבות מעוטות יכולת. היה זה מוסד צנוע, שהשלים את פעולת האשראי של שני
