אונטער דעם צארישן רעזשים נישט געװען קײן ארגאניזירטע
קהילה, א מאגיסטראט, מיט אנדערע װערטער. דאס גאנצע
גײסטיקע, קולטורעלע און געזעלשאפטלעכע לעבן אין שטעטל
האט זיך געדרײט, אממײנםטן, אין און ארום דעם בית־מדרש.
דעם אמט פון אונאפיציעלן ראש הקהל פון שטאט האט פאר־
נומען דער רב, דער מר א דאתרא. אלע שטאטישע אסיפות
זײנען פארגעקומען אין הויז פון רב, אונטער זײן פארזיץ.
דער רב האט שוין געהאט זײן אײגענעם ״שטאט־ראט״,
ױעצים, װעלכע האבן זיך רעקרוטירט פון די פרעזידענטן
