... לבחירות לעיריה ב־1929 קבלה האוכלוסיה היהודית רק8 מנדטים׳ כי ללוקוב חוברו הפרברים עם אוכלוסיה פולנית. בצד היהודי השתתפו המפלגות הבאות: ״אגודה״. בעלי מלאכד״ פ.צ. ימנײם׳ ״פראפפראײנען״ (שמאלײם)׳ ״מזרחי״ וציונים כללײם. ״האגודה״ 5 מנדטים׳ בעלי מלאכה 1׳ פ.צ. ימנײם 1׳ פראפפראײנען 1. חברי מועצת העיר מ״האגודה״ היו משה אהרן וינטרויב׳ יונה נײ׳ משה פליכטנריך׳ הרש ליזר לנדו ומאיר ליב גלרנטר. חברי מועצה אלו היו גם חברים בקהילה היהודית. משה אהרן וינטרויב נבחר ״לוניק״ בעיריה. מקומו במועצת העיר תפס שמואל אריה. נציג בעלי המלאכה בעיריה היה מטס מנדלבוים׳ מהציונים הכללײם הימנײם— יעקב ליכטנשטין׳ מהשמאליים — שלמה זקליק. האחרון לא היה זמן רב חבר המועצה. המשטרה אסרה אותו ואחרי ישיבה של שנה בבית סוהר בשדלץ הוא חלה בשחפת. שחררו אותת אך היה נאלץ לעבור לװרשה׳ שם מת כעבור זמן קצר.
