יח. יהושע השיל (פיצ׳י) אברס (1820 — 1896)
פיצ׳י אברס היה חזן ומלחין גדול. בעודו ילד
בן שש הראה כבר נטייה חזקה לנגינה וזמרה בבית־
הכנסת של יוסף פרל, היה חזן בטרנופול בשנים
1837 — 1844, שנים אחדות למד בוינה אצל זולצר,
בלבוב אצל החזן הידוע מודל ואצל בצלאל אודיסר.
כתב יצירות בנוסח האמנים האיטלקים העתיקים. בלבוב
יכול היה לפתח את כשרונו החזני־מוסיקלי. אברם
כתב שורה של יצירות ורציטטיבות ושמו התפרסם
בכל העולם. ביחוד הצטיין בקול־יחיד שלו, קול
בריטון, ובסגולות ויתרונות של קול באס פלאי. יש
